Censoring the Internet

Dreamora.com has always been a place where speech, ideas, and technology were never censored. We've always been about sharing, and yes, even certain information which may have been copyrighted. These days we try hard not to share anything that is copyrighted in the U.S., and only attempt to promote media and technology from overseas or which is already freeware/shareware, mainly to bring awareness to these great items.

The Dreamora Network (Dreamora.com, DreamoraBT.com, Toshokan.asia, and the former Anime-Subs.com) may not be what it once was, but it was what it was because of this freedom of sharing. It was an incredible community of intellectuals brought together for common interests and common goals. To acquire freeware/shareware games and programs, and view/listen to Asian media that would otherwise be unavailable to most outside of Asia.

We see why piracy could be an issue, and while we may have experienced more "piratey" times in our past, we dare not call ourselves pirates. Especially with what limited items we share. We call ourselves people. People whom want nothing more than to experience more experiences. We are citizens of various nationalities whom view the internet as a way to bring the world closer together. And that should be what the internet is about.

Obviously with the type of websites we operate we should be automatically obligated to fighting SOPA and PIPA. It's not because we're "obligated" to fighting them that we don't agree with them. It is the fact that these bills could dramatically and with very limited reasons censor the internet, stunt both economic and social growth, and take down those who have nothing but good intentions at heart.

Please support the fight against SOPA and PIPA. The internet as we know it is relying on you.

Stop American Censorship

Facebook, DreamoraBT, and more!

So it has come to my attention, even though I generally visit this site still and this announcement has much to do with this website, that I neglected to make a particular announcement or two... or three ...on here.

First, the reemergence or DreamoraBT!

Granted, it's actually been back up for months now and the biggest announcement I had made for it was on Facebook. But it is "finally" back. We had decided to start fresh with it, rather than just put the old one back up. So if you were a member previously, you'll have to rejoin. And if you had torrents up before, you'll have to re-add them. Other than that, it's roughly the same website.

And now on to announcement number 3.

We have another new website, this one being more of a review site in the style of a blog. This site will review other asian media related websites, such as TokyoTosho, AnimeSuki, etc. There will be short reviews and statements about each website, and the community rates each website. This website, called Toshokan.asia, can be found here:

The last announcement is simply to announce that the Dreamora network of websites has a Facebook and Twitter page. Yes, that's right, Dreamora has joined the rest of the internet in the social-networking scene. The Facebook page alone already has 77 friends as of this news post.

What? Activity?

What is this activity I speak of?

Well...I've recently been in the process of setting up an online browser-based RPG.

Tentatively called "Legend of the Green Dragon" (not entirely sure if I want to make it more personalized with Dreamora.com yet).

The game is open to beta. I don't want to completely flood it quite yet, so when I feel enough active people to test it have joined, I'll close it off for a bit. Hopefully then I can tweak it to balance the gameplay, and hopefully that won't take long, and hopefully (I'm such a hopeful person) people can retain the characters they've worked on.

So join up!

Also, many of you may remember this game from my brother's server. Same concept here, just slightly updated and not quite as complex. I plan on gradually growing the game.

Shops Galore!

I've actually had these shops up for a month or two, making small changes here and there. I could have released them sooner, but I was too lazy to make any banners for them. Now that I've taken a few minutes to make some really crappy banners, I suppose now is a good time to release the shops.

We make about $2 from each sale, which will go towards a new server, so we can get back on track. And yes, CafePress is expensive. If you have any questions, feel free to post them.

ekdippj already purchased a couple of items from the Dreamora.com shop.

So check out all the merchandise!

Phong!

Check out Dreamora.com's new game, Phong! We will now be entirely focusing on this new and innovative game that we believe will take the entire gaming industry by storm. We feel that this is the future of gaming. So enjoy and completely disregard anything that has ever been mentioned on this site before. Ever.

Check it out here.

Edit: For those who didn't understand it, or got here late, this was an April Fool's joke, albeit a poorly planned one. The main page redirected to a pong-type game.

Testing Complete

I indeed performed the testing of new stuff the other weekend, but I'll not be able to implement as much as I had hoped, for now.

Something that I was hoping could be a rather nice replacement for LOGD (and which would be integrated into this system) is not going to be ready for quite some time. It requires three things for me to implement it. One is ready to go, another is a bit outdated (though mostly CSS issues) and is currently being worked on getting updated, and another is still in its beta phase.

I am, though, working on some other stuff in the meantime which I also tested the other weekend. No ETA on that, but soon, I hope.

Also, an updated traffic graph:
